PulseVault FAQ

What is PulseVault?

PulseVault is a deadman switch service that checks for confirmations and releases a secure portal link to your recipients only if you miss a configured number of check-ins.

Is PulseVault free?

Yes. This service is currently being provided at no cost.

What counts as a “missed window”?

A check-in interval that ends without a confirmation click.

Can both my primary and secondary email confirm?

Yes. Either confirmer can click the confirmation link to confirm the check-in.

Do recipients get my documents in email?

No. Recipients receive a link to a protected Release Portal. Documents are delivered via one-time download links.

What if a confirmation email goes to spam?

Allowlist the sending address/domain. If you do not confirm, missed windows may accumulate.

What happens if email sending fails?

If email sending fails, the system is designed to pause to prevent accidental releases until the issue is resolved and an administrator resumes the system.

Can you (the provider) read my payload?

The service is designed so we do not access or read payload content in the ordinary course of providing the Service. No hosted system can guarantee absolute confidentiality against all threats.
